BLOOMING FANTASTIC FUN AT GREENWICH MILLENNIUM VILLAGE

| Events

Summertime was fully celebrated at Greenwich Millennium Village on Saturday 8th August, when residents were invited to enjoy a Summer Wreath Making event in the Village Square.

Armed with an abundance of blooms, locally based florist Katy Coe guided residents to create their own amazing summer wreath.  Summer flowers included bright yellow sunflowers, pink and orange gerberas, carnations and hand painted wooden hearts decorated with the NHS rainbow and a thank you.

Sessions with just five people, including adults and children, were held throughout the day to ensure all government social distancing guidelines were followed and despite it being a very hot day, everyone had a fantastic time.  There is now a display of stunning floral wreaths on many front doors around the development for everyone to enjoy.

Chris Bladon, Director of Greenwich Millennium Village, comments: “The Summer Wreath Making event provided residents with an excellent opportunity to enjoy the excellent weather and spend time together creating a floral display to decorate their home. The true sense of community is one of the key factors that makes Greeniwch Millennium Village stand out as a development and by holding small groups, we were able to ensure guests could safely follow the government social distancing guidelines whilst getting involved this exciting event.”
