On Tuesday 4th October, Greenwich Millennium Village (GMV) - Countryside and Taylor Wimpey Central London’s joint venture scheme in association with the Mayor of London – celebrated the latest milestone with the topping out of its latest residential buildings – The Galleria.

Marking the penultimate phase of the ‘Parkside Collection’ to launch at GMV, this milestone signifies a key stage of the masterplan for the flagship regeneration scheme. Comprising a range of 104 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and maisonettes. These exclusive new homes occupy a prime position overlooking the Southern Park and offer the latest opportunity to live at this sought-after address.

These luxurious properties have been carefully designed to capitalise on the building’s prime position within the development. Balconies or terraces to each home ensure residents benefit from private outdoor space and, with floor to ceiling windows, many will enjoy fantastic views over London and the surrounding parkland. Flexible living spaces ensure homes cater for a range of lifestyles and, with high-speed internet, facilitates working from home with ease. Each home will be sold with a high specification, featuring stone worktops with fully-integrated appliances, luxurious built-in wardrobes, engineered timber flooring, fully carpeted bedrooms and underfloor heating.

Offering breath-taking views of Southern Park, the City and the Thames, the building will also benefit from a proposed café, a nursery and a terrace on the sixth floor. What’s more, a number of homes within this phase will overlook a central podium garden. Exclusive to residents of The Galleria, the podium garden will be neatly landscaped and planted with a variety of trees and shrubs, offering a peaceful oasis for residents to escape the hustle and bustle of city living, whilst openings at each end of the building allow plenty of light and air into the garden alongside views of the street activity below.

What’s more, residents here will enjoy the abundance of greenspace on the doorstep. The four-acre Ecology Park features a range of wildlife, while Southern Park offers swathes of green space to explore, with picturesque lakes, ponds, marshland, meadows, woodland and beaches, transporting residents and visitors out of the city.

At Greenwich Millennium Village, residents benefit from access to a wide range of amenities including a Co-op, barbers and pharmacy, whilst the well-established Village Square offers a convenience store, dry cleaners, hairdressing salon, beauty spa and café. Adding to its appeal, The Galleria is located within a mile from North Greenwich tube station making its access to an abundant of locations in the City easy for commuters.

The internal fit out of The Galleria will be completed Summer 2023, with the first residents expected to move in from Summer 2023.

Chris Bladon, Director of Greenwich Millennium Village, says:

‘The structural completion of The Galleria is a key milestone for us, and we are very excited to be entering the next stage of the masterplan for this flagship scheme. In addition to luxurious new homes, this phase will see the delivery of more facilities for the community to enjoy, as we remain committed to creating places people love.’

Chris Genner, Project Director, Greenwich Millennium Village, says:

‘We are proud to have started construction of the next phase of homes at Greenwich Millennium Village. As we continue to deliver more homes and facilities at this popular London address, we look forward to seeing the rest of this exciting regeneration project unfold.
