CHANGE UP YOUR COMMUTE WITH CHOICE OF TRANSPORT AT GREENWICH MILLENNIUM VILLAGE

A shorter commute has been shown to have a positive effect on wellbeing, helping to reduce stress, and the risk of high blood pressure and obesity, a recent report by the RSPH (Royal Society for Public Health) has revealed. Homebuyers at Greenwich Millennium Village can avoid the boredom that comes from a long, repetitive commute, with a choice of bus, train, tube, ferry, bike or cable car all providing fast connections to other parts of London including the City and Canary Wharf.

Situated on the Greenwich Peninsula, GMV is just one stop from Canary Wharf, nine minutes from Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre, and 17 minutes from Bank station, via the underground from North Greenwich Station. Thames Clippers provide frequent services from North Greenwich Pier, while the Emirates Air Line cable car connects quickly and easily to the Royal Docks on the opposite side of the Thames.

Chris Bladon, Director of GMV Limited comments:

The daily commute is often an important factor when purchasing a home. At GMV, a variety of fast and easy routes are available into the city, taking the stress out of the journey to work. A shorter commute means more free time, and with the vast open spaces, parks, riverside paths and Village Square at GMV, as well as the world famous O2 arena, residents have plenty of options for leisure, exercise and relaxation.

Greenwich Millennium Village, a joint venture between Countryside and Taylor Wimpey, is one of the most exciting and innovative new residential neighbourhoods in Europe. Since the first residents moved in more than fifteen years ago, it has evolved into a thriving and established community, surrounded by a huge amount of open green space. With an ecology park including two lakes and a new eco play area, there is plenty of room to live and breathe while enjoying the incredible feeling of openness, light and space from the riverside setting.

The layout of the Village gives priority to people over cars, with lively and intimate streets focused around a central Village Square. The master plan includes amenities that every thriving community needs, including shops and restaurants, an architecturally stunning new primary school which is rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ and a health centre.
